As a magazine junkie, it’s probably not such a good thing that I work so close to Fog City News. They are forever enticing me with their displays of imported chocolates, hard to find magazines, and old fashioned sodas.
This morning, I meant to only slip in and purchase a Boylan’s birch beer for my SO. But that led to a Cadbury orange bar, and a new (to me) UK food magazine: fresh. It reminded me of (and was slotted in next to) the BBC’s olive food magazine. It was the cover photo of the game pies (think pot pies but richer/darker) that sucked me in — and then I saw a cover line for a slow food article, organic cooking, and 1970s style food. I had to buy it.
